WHAT DO YOU DEFINE AS SUCCESS?

This is one of the most vital questions anyone can ask. The way we define success determines the way we live. Either knowingly or unknowingly, the way we make decisions is based on the way we classify success. For an instance, if your concept of success is rich, it means your decisions will be richer, even if it means giving up something very important or valuable to you in order to get something done. Everybody on planet earth have his own definition of success, either consciously or unconsciously. To help you identify your definition of success, for a short moment, close your eyes and form a picture in your mind of what you feel successful people looks like. Then ask yourself the following questions:
1. Are they rich?
2. Are they famous?
3. Do the ride the latest car?
4. Do they have a lot of friends?
Whatever your answers to these questions above are, that is what you define as success. That is the image of what you are after to make yourself successful.

Another way to identify what you define as success is to write names of people you think are successful. Every one of us have model of those we believe are already successful and we wish to be like them. Follow these steps:
1. Write the names of people you think are successful.
2. Identify the character they possess that makes you think they are succeeding.
3. Try to do things the way they do things but it is certain that you can't do things exactly like them.
4. Create rules for yourself to guild you to be like your model.
If you do these things, you will have your definition of success. Sometimes, what we define as success doesn't match our rules. For example, our rule may be that success is not measured by money. But from our exercise above, we found that our idea of success is actually rich. The sudden mismatch means that the way we live is different from our rule because as I earlier mentioned, the way we define success determines the way we live. Hence, our rules are what we think as the truth, so we should live by them. Living differently from our rules means that we are not following our heart and conscience and there is no way we can have a fulfilled life. What you are to do if that happens is to, change what you define as your success to match your rules.

What you classify as your success is very important so don't let it go the wrong way.

Don't get it twisted you have the authority to make yourself a success because there is no school that has the faculty of success.
